Desktop Notification enables users to get notified about new messages, new friendships, new activities of their friends. Once you sign in, you will be asked by your browser, if you accept desktop notifications. From then on, every few seconds a request will be sent asking for news in the network. This can be a direct message, new activity updates of friends, friend requests, or accepted friend requests by other users.
